Tether will swap part of USDT from Omni protocol to ERC-20

ether Technical Director Paolo Ardoino said that part of the USDT stablecoins will be transferred from the Omni protocol to ERC-20.

In one of the tweets, Ardoino noted that one of these major transactions will involve 100 million USDT.

At the same time, it is noted on the official Tether website that the number of USDT stablecoins based on Omni is 2.82 billion. At the same time, the supply of USDT on ERC-20 standard is 1.45 billion on the Tron blockchain – 107 million, on EOS – 251 million , and 61,000 stablecoins on the Liquid Network.

We also note that the New York court continued consideration of the case against the Bitfinex exchange and Tether for another 90 days.
